Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
J&C Turning operates jcturning.com and J&C Studio, a creator-controlled web tool that can connect to a creator's TikTok account through TikTok's official authorization and content-posting APIs.
2. Information we process
When you use J&C Studio, we may process information needed to connect your account and complete actions you request, including:
- TikTok account identifiers, display name, username, avatar, available privacy settings, and interaction settings returned by TikTok;
- access and refresh tokens granted through TikTok authorization;
- the video you choose to upload and the caption, privacy selection, interaction choices, commercial-content disclosures, and related publishing metadata you provide;
- post identifiers, upload progress, processing status, failure reasons, and other API response data;
- basic technical and security information such as request time, IP address, browser information, and service logs processed by our hosting providers.
3. How we use information
We use this information to authenticate your authorized TikTok account, display current posting options, validate the content settings you choose, relay the video you expressly submit to TikTok, show publishing progress, troubleshoot errors, secure the service, and maintain the connection you request.
4. Video handling
Video files selected in J&C Studio are transmitted through our service for delivery to TikTok. J&C Studio does not intentionally keep a permanent copy of uploaded video files as part of the Studio publishing flow. Hosting and network infrastructure may temporarily process data as needed to transmit the upload.
5. Tokens and account connections
TikTok access and refresh tokens are treated as sensitive information and stored server-side. They are not intentionally exposed in the public website code. Tokens may be refreshed as permitted by TikTok so an authorized connection can remain usable. You may disconnect TikTok from J&C Studio, which initiates revocation of the authorization and removes the Studio session we maintain for that connection.
6. Sharing and service providers
We share information only as needed to provide the service, such as with TikTok for authorization and publishing and with infrastructure providers that host, secure, or transmit the service. We do not sell TikTok account data or personal information.
7. Data retention
We retain authorization records and limited publishing metadata only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, support troubleshooting, or satisfy legitimate legal obligations. Temporary upload records may expire automatically after the publishing process. You may request deletion of J&C-controlled account connection data by contacting us.
8. Your choices
You control which TikTok account you authorize and whether to publish a selected video. You may disconnect TikTok through J&C Studio or through TikTok's own account/app permission settings. You can also contact us regarding access, correction, or deletion requests for data controlled by J&C Turning.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account tokens and publishing data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
J&C Studio is not intended for children and should be used only by people permitted to authorize and manage the relevant social account under applicable platform rules and law.
11. Third-party services
TikTok and other infrastructure providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices. J&C Turning is not responsible for how a third-party service processes data after it receives information under that service's own policies.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as J&C Studio, our integrations, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date when we make material revisions.
